General parking opens at 9am. Early bird parking (in lot 43 off University Drive and Lot 22 off Park Avenue opens at 8:00am. An $8.00 per car donation is requested.

Cars will be directed to lots at the discretion of police as determined by traffic conditions.

VIP parking is available within close proximity to the entertainment, celebration area, concessions and fireworks areas.. These VIP Parking lots are identified as Lots A (Stadium West), B (BJC lot 44), C (behind the Visitors Center) and D (next to Medlar Field). VIP Parking passes can be purchased for $20.

If you want to experience and feel the fireworks and see the spectacular ground effects at their best, there is a special viewing area reserved on the east side of Porter Road for VIP Viewing ticket holders. Both VIP Viewing and Parking tickets can be purchased in advance beginning mid-May at the Bryce Jordan Center’s ticket office. Please check www.bjc.psu.edu/tickets for window and telephone hours. The BJC ticket office will be open from 4:00-6:00PM on the 4th.

There is no supplied seating so bring your own lawn chairs or blankets and don’t forget to bring a radio to tune into 93.7 The Bus to hear the music for the choreographed fireworks show. Children 4 and under do not need a VIP Viewing pass if accompanied by a paying adult.

VIP Tickets can also be purchase the day of the event at the Bryce Jordan Center’s ticket office from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Individual VIP viewing tickets ($25) and parking passes ($20) will be available for sale. A special 2x2 package of two VIP viewing and one VIP parking will be available for $65. A 4x4 package of four VIP viewing tickets and one VIP parking pass will be on sale for $100.

The VIP Viewing area will be opening at 5:00PM .The entrance to the VIP Viewing area is through the upper (south) portions of the VIP C Parking lot. If coming from the Bryce Jordon Center area follow the signs from the Joe Paterno statue on Porter Road.

Handicapped parking will be located in a designated paved area in VIP A (Stadium West) with access off of Park Avenue. An $8.00 per car donation is requested. There will also be a special handicapped viewing area for holders of a VIP parking pass and appropriate handicapped vehicle tags or handicapped hanging placard in the upper portion of the VIP C parking lot. Access will be off Park Avenue across from the Ag Arena. This special viewing area can accommodate 150 cars and will be on a first come first serve basis. This handicapped area is on uneven ground and is grass covered. This provides up close viewing of the fireworks from or near your vehicle. VIP C parking area requires a $20 VIP Parking Pass. Both handicapped parking areas will open at 9:00am.

Motor homes, campers, and oversized vehicles will be directed to park in VIP A (Stadium West), the paved lot next to the football stadium. VIP A (Stadium West) will open at 9:00am on July 4th. Entrance to the VIP A (Stadium West) parking lot will be via Park Avenue. A $20 VIP parking donation per vehicle is requested for RV parking. VIP Parking passes can be purchased in advance from the BJC ticket office at www.bjc.psu.edu/tickets or by telephone at 800-863-3336. The parking configuration is subject to change. Both the Spikes home baseball game and adverse weather conditions could alter the availability of some parking lots.
