Firecracker 4K Race | 4thFest Celebration | Entertainment | Fireworks
Each year the audience anticipates a spectacular fireworks display to celebrate the birth of our country.
The 4thFest is rated the 3rd Largest, Biggest, Best 4th of July Fireworks show in the United States by the international fireworks website Fireworks Guide.
The all volunteer pyrotechnics team has created what promises to be another fabulous show for 2010.
Remember the fireworks show is choreographed to music which is played on 93.7 The Bus.
This year's medley includes many traditional patriotic songs, movie, TV, and show tunes, as well as popular selections.
Songs will be played by big bands, jazz bands, rock bands, military bands, and don't forget the choirs and orchestras.
As always, after enjoying the many different moods and styles displayed in the core of the fireworks show, you can always count on the BIG ending with the 4thFest finale.
And what a grand finale is planned. Up until the grand finale the show will be averaging about 4.5 shells per second.
That is per second...not per minute. When we hit the finale, and you should know we are there, the firing rate will pop to almost 80 shells per second.
The planning for the 2010 fireworks began in the fall of 2009. First the music was selected by the choreography team then they designed the effects for this years 45 minute show.
Included this year will be over 191 different types of shells which will generate the traditional loud Ooohs..., Ahhh's... and spontaneous applause.
How many in total you ask... almost 16,000 before the show is over. The volunteer pyro team will have loaded over 5,000 3"-10" firing tubes with the other 10,000 shells firing from 1"-3" prepackaged tubes.
At different times during the show If you are close enough you will get to enjoy a number of brand new ground based effects that the construction team has been designing and constructing for the past few months. These rather large special designs are worth the cost of the VIP Viewing ticket by themselves. These set pieces are created to go off and remain lighted closer to ground level, creating a graphic sometimes moving image with fireworks.
One of the returning features for 2010 will be the wonderful sound system in the VIP Viewing area. The sound system provides a rock concert experience for the 5,000+ people sitting within this viewing area.
TIP: If you have ever wanted to get the up close experience of VIP viewing, consider purchasing VIP Viewing tickets for this year. Over 5,500 people enjoyed the fireworks from this vantage point in 2009. The planning team is working to provide the VIP viewing area the best possible head on view of the fireworks. We constantly hear that people who view the show from the VIP Viewing area are looking forward to seeing the show from the same vantage point the following year. When the evening is over you should be very happy that you enjoyed the show from this preferred viewing area. This is truly entertainment at its best.
